Tallink SPA
A 4-star Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel in the centre of Tallinn was opened in March 2007. The hotel boasts an up-to-date conference centre, a luxurious Aqua Spa, Beauty Centre Hera Salongid, a la carte restaurant Nero and Cigar Bar Fidel. Apart from various kinds of saunas in the relaxing spa complex a guest can enjoy the swimming pool pleasures. A project manager was Kawe Group AS, a contractor – Eesti Merelaevandus AS, a planning compiler Nord Projekt AS and developer Arhitektibüroo Ehala & Irik OÜ.
We fulfilled different waterproofing works through the contractor’s request.

What we did
During construction of Tallink SPA Hotel we fulfilled waterproofing of the swimming pools and wet rooms.
What we used
As the structure is peculiar for its complicated design of the swimming pools and the swimming pool room, we waterproofed them according to a double-protection principle. On the bearing construction concrete slab of the swimming pools and the swimming pool room we installed elastic waterproofing rendering IZOLEX Cemizol 2EN with draining indenting. The waterproofing was over-coated with heat insulation and the swimming pool baths were additionally insulated with polymeric coating IZOLEX Cemizol 2EP before tiling. Apart from the swimming pool room and the swimming pools we waterproofed the balance reservoirs with polymeric coating IZOLEX Cemizol 2EP.
