Apartment building in Koidu St. 60-62 / Komeedi St. 14
Apartment building in Koidu and Komeedi street crossing point was built in 2008 in cooperation with OÜ Dobromir, construction comany Rand & Tuulberg and Rein Murula Architecture bureau (architects Rein Murula and Karl Koosa). This building stands out with its architecture solution and external finishes from other new developments “the so-called shells” thanks to dark brick facade and green rolled metal roof and green rolled metal facade elements. These details give a representative and exclusive exterior to the building.
The building on Koidu street side is a 6-storied apartment building with two staircases and elevators. Flats that are sided to the inner courtyard have spacious balconies and terraces. There are office rooms on the first floor of the building sided with Koidu street. The 5-storied inner quarter space is with a special solution, so-called gallery house in which all flats extend through two floors (by mezzanine floors). On the first floor there are row house typed apartments with individual garages and entrances. There are alternately balconies and a gallery on the courtyard side of the house. The building is divided into two with a staircase and an elevator shaft that go through the building. In the apartments on the 5th floor there are spacious roof terraces. Parking lot is on the basement floor.
GRACE Preprufe 160R rolled-on membrane was used to waterproof non-removable plywood formwork walls. To waterproof the walls of the removable formwork GRACE Bituthene 4000 rolled-on membrane was used. Membrane edges were sealed using GRACE Bituthene Mastic. Formwork tensions, exterior sheathing fastening anchors and socket shells supporting units that came through the membrane were sealed using GRACE Bituthene LM liquid membranes. Waterproofing was covered with EPS 100 insulation boards.
